Mariana leads the Youth Programs at AIM Youth Mental Health, the AIM Ideas Lab and AIM Youth Ambassador program, bringing together a strong foundation in scientific research and a deep commitment to youth well-being. She holds a B.S. in Chemistry with a specialization in Medicinal and Synthetic Chemistry from the University of San Francisco, and has conducted research at institutions including the Cleveland Clinic.
Believing that young people are the experts in understanding what supports their mental health, Mariana is passionate about designing student-centered programs that are grounded in real-world research practices and prioritize participants’ well-being. Through AIM’s Youth Programs, she empowers students to explore and care for their own mental health, develop research and advocacy skills, and lead meaningful change in their communities.
Outside of work, Mariana enjoys soaking up the sun, reading, traveling, and finding moments for adventure with her partner and their cat, Roo.
