Scott Olson has a diverse legal and business background.
Most notably in his legal career, Scott was the Founding Member and Managing Shareholder of the Dallas office of Greenberg Traurig, LLP, an international law firm. He was also the Global Co-head of Greenberg’s Structured Finance & Derivatives Group, representing banks, borrowers, investors, servicing companies, and other parties.
Scott is currently a Partner with Turtle Creek Holdings, a decades-old investment partnership focusing on private equity and venture capital investments in a diverse range of businesses and assets. He is also the primary owner of Peridot Holdings, a family office partnership.
Scott is also currently an investor and manager in many private companies, including Pathway Healthcare, LED Solutions, Green Chile Foods, RPS (based in Middle East), and VZION Creative. Scott is also a limited partner in a number of funds, including 11 Tribes, Stoneriver, SKK, Vaucluse, and Collective Capital.
Finally, Scott is a partner in Sandstone Life Strategies, Peridot Life, and Opus Funding Partners, all dedicated to insurance finance, origination, and distribution.
Scott has extensive experience in all types of financial and investment transactions, including private investment, M&A, securitization, project finance, insurance finance, capital markets finance, and general banking.
Scott attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where he graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, won the Hugo Black Fellowship Award, and the Outstanding Young Alumni Award. Scott also holds a JD from Vanderbilt Law School and served on the Vanderbilt Law School Board of Directors.
Before college, Scott served in the United States Air Force.
Scott is committed to philanthropic involvement and serves on several boards, including Highlands College, Minuteman Disaster Response, and GraceBridge.
Scott has been married to his wife, Erin, since 2000, and they have three children. After many years in Dallas and New York, they now live in Shoal Creek, AL and Pebble Beach, CA.
